KCB FC head coach Zedekiah Otieno is hopeful of having his two right-backs back in action after the international break. The Bankers’ right-backs Baraka Badi and Brian Wepo are both sidelined with injuries and the team was forced to field Harun Thomas, a midfielder in that position during their Friday league match against Wazito FC.They managed to win the game 2-0 courtesy of a Derrick Otanga double; the win was their third on the spin and THE Bankers are now fifth in the log with eleven points after six rounds of league assignments. The league will take a break after week six action and Otieno says the break has come at the right time as he hopes to have his two fullbacks back before their week seven assignment.Wazito FC Vs KCB kicks off in five minutes pic.twitter.com/HSKishXsBT— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) November 5, 2021 “The break has come at an important time for us because it will give our injured players time to recover. When you look at our right-back position, we have been playing with a makeshift right-back because Badi hasn’t featured in around three games through injury and Wepo is equally injured and we hope that during this break they will have sufficient time to recover and hopefully we will have them after the international break, “he stated.Next for Zico’s Bankers is a home match against champions Tusker FC.KCB finished second in the league last season. The second-place finish was their best in their history. They beefed up the team with the additions of the likes of James Mazembe, Robinson Kamura, Mohamed Kilume and David Okello to help him move to the next phase which is clinching a league title.
