Record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia have been slapped with a new two consecutive transfer window embargo by world football governing body, FIFA that is set to expire in 2023.Just when K’Ogalo thought they had turned the screw by posting an impressive start to the season that sees them sit at the apex of the league standings, a transfer ban has reared his ugly head again at Gor Mahia’s doorstep.In a letter from FIFA to K’Ogalo seen by Mozzart Sport, the world football governing body found the club culpable of failing to comply with an initial transfer ban. The Respondent shall be able to register new players, either nationally or internationally, only as of the first registration period following the full serving of the ban,”“In particular, the Respondent (Gor Mahia) may not make use of the exception and the provisional measures stipulated in article 6 of the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players in order to register players at an earlier stage,” read a section of the letter. Gor were previously banned after failing to settle the despites of Ugandan defender Shafik Batambuze, Tanzanian midfielder Dickson Ambundo, and former head coach Steven Polack.
