Sofapaka FC head coach Ken ‘Mabom’ Odhiambo says his team has to keep working on finishing after they wasted many opportunities yet again in the 1-0 win over AFC Leopards on Sunday afternoon at the Wundayi Stadium.Batoto ba Mungu ended their three-match losing streak on Sunday with a win over Ingwe. A Joe Waithira goal in first-half stoppage time is all that they needed to beat Ingwe and return to winning ways. In the process, they extended Leopards’ losing streak to four matches in six.Despite the win, Odhiambo says they have to keep improving so as to continue performing. He is particularly concerned by how his team has been throwing away chances and says it is something that they have to keep working on in training.🔵 Sofapaka 1-0 AFC Leopards match report🗞All the details you need to know from today’s win over Leopards on https://t.co/XXCfoo2ZoS@betikaKe @OyandoRonny #BatotoBaMungu pic.twitter.com/dgXNX4zK6e— Sofapaka FC (@FC_Sofapaka) November 7, 2021 “We have been throwing away many chances in recent games and it is a great concern for us. It was the case in our matches against Gor Mahia, we created opportunities but we failed to take them and it is something that we have been trying to rectify in training. Against Leopards, we had many opportunities but we did not take them, although we have won, I cannot say that we are fully satisfied with how we played. We will go back to the training ground and keep working on our finishing so that in our next assignment we can score two or three goals,” he stated.Sofapaka returned to Wundanyi on Sunday after hosting their last two home matches in Thika and the return coincided with their second win of the season having registered the first at the same venue and Odhiambo says the good state of pitch makes it easy for them to win there.🙏🏿In every situation we give thanks, been a great team effort today, a good way to wind up the weekend@betikaKe@OyandoRonny#BatotoBaMungu pic.twitter.com/ROfmlqWW3G— Sofapaka FC (@FC_Sofapaka) November 7, 2021 “I can say that this pitch is a lucky charm for us because we got our first win of the season here against City Stars and got a second win here against Leopards here. It is a good pitch, in a good state compared to Thika which is very bumpy. The game flows well you create many chances and it is easy to score when you get these opportunities,” he added.Next for Batoto ba Mungu is an away game against FC Talanta.
