We went to AFCON with Amina and she was happy with the preparations,””When we returned, we had problems with one of the Principal Secretaries and we went to DCI for the AFCON Ksh240M funding from the Government. During the election period we were under investigation by DCI for five months. In 2020 we had elections and the government wanted to set up a committee for the elections,” said Mwendwa in an interview with KTN News.FKF to be audited after Government directiveThe football head honcho added that the Ministry’s move to have an election committee was not in accordance with the law as football stakeholders set up an independent committee with CS Amina asking Nick to write to FIFA to allow the election committee to be set up by the government.Mwendwa added that since then, he had a tepid relationship with the CS with his efforts to seek audience falling on deaf ears with the 5-0 evisceration of Mali heightening their cold war, which led to the move to order an inspection audit.”Harambee Stars are in camp, Michael Olunga jetted in last night but until now his travel ticket has not been reimbursed by the Ministry despite sending an invoice last month. Starlets were in camp to play South Sudan but the Sports Fund and the Ministry have not given us the money yet we have a debt in office,”FKF at Senate:FKF President Nick Mwenda voices fears of a ban.
