Kisumu All-stars head coach Salim Babu believes that he has a squad capable of leading the team back to the FKF Premier League this season. The County government-backed team narrowly missed out on promotion back to the top tier after a couple of bad results in the closing stages of the season resulted in them dropping down in the log.In an interview, Babu said he is impressed by the playing unit at his disposal and believes that they have what it takes to go all the way.”We have signed well, we have a very competitive squad and I am adamant that we will perform better this season, based on our assessment, we have a good team. We just have to keep working and improving, everything will be fine,” he added. Our line up against Kisumu All Stars #fcukzoo #BNSL pic.twitter.com/LfvQ8ziFcl— Zoo FC (@zoofootballclub) November 6, 2021 All-Stars began the season with a one-all draw against Zoo FC on Saturday and Babu feels they would have easily won the game had they taken their chances.”It was a good game, and I think that we dominated the better part of the match especially the first half, and had we taken the chances that we created in the first half, we would have sealed the win before we went for the break and our finishing is something that we will have to fine-tune,”.“In the second half they improved, and scoring that early goal also gave them some confidence in the game but fortunately we managed to utilize one of the few second-half chances and we got a point away from home, I do not think it is a bad result against a team that has come from the top tier,” he added.Next for Babu’s charges is a home match against Mombasa Heroes.
