Skipper Nabwire hoping to spark Leopards revival

AFC Leopards new captain Marvin Nabwire is delighted with his leadership role in the team and has thanked the club for entrusting him with the skippers’ duties.Nabwire was on Sunday named Ingwe skipper. He takes over from Isaac Kipyegon who left for Tusker FC, he will be deputized by winger Peter Thiong’o.Nabwire is currently one of the longest-serving players at the den having been with the team for close to four years now. With help from my teammates and everyone within the club I believe that I will be in a position to lead the team well this season and beyond,” Nabwire stated.Leopards suffered a fourth successive defeat when they went down to Sofapaka on Sunday in Wundanyi on Sunday but Nabwire doesn’t believe they played badly in the game. He added that the international break will help the team prepare well for their coming assignments.”We did not play badly, we had chances which we did not take, we made a mistake at the back, they utilized it and won the game. We have new players on board and I think this break will come in handy for us, we will prepare well before our next assignment,” he added.AFC Leopards will play Kenya Police FC after the international break.
