Newly promoted Vihiga Bullets have become the first top-tier side to ring managerial changes in the new 2021/2022 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) campaign after the club’s hierarchy unveiled former Western Stima head coach Abdallah Juma as the new man at the helm in place of the departing Evans Mafuta.On Tuesday, 9 November, Mozzart Sport understands that former Western Stima gaffer Abdallah Juma was presented and unveiled to Bullets players as the new head coach in the absence of Mafuta who was yet to be made aware of the decision to sack him as at time of publishing.However, speaking to Mozzart Sport, Mafuta revealed that he would not be surprised by the decision to replace him as he tendered in his resignation after the team’s last match which was a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Nairobi City Stars at Ruaraka Grounds.“After our game against Nairobi City Stars, I tendered in my resignation at the club because the working conditions had become unbearable. It is something that has not been a pleasant sight and even brought tensions with the fans not long ago. We are in the process of evaluating the situation right now,” he said.Since earning promotion to the top tier, Mafuta only managed to pick one point from the available eighteen. The club losing five straight matches as they are currently rooted at the bottom of the log.
