Juma sets high targets after taking over at Vihiga Bullets

Veteran coach Juma Abdallah is confident that he will manage to turn Vihiga Bullets’ fortunes around after he was handed the reins at the struggling FKF Premier League newbies.Juma, the immediate former Western Stima head coach takes over from Evans Mafuta who has been relieved of his duties six matches into the new season. The team has lost five of the six matches with the other ending in a draw, they sit rock bottom in the FKF Premier League log.The widely traveled coach had initially been linked with a move to NSL side Fortune Sacco but the deal did not materialize and he now moves to Vihiga as Mafuta’s successor. The tactician has confirmed his appointment in an interview.“It is true I have taken over at Vihiga Bullets, I was unveiled to the players today and I begin my training sessions with the players tomorrow,” he told Mozzart Sport.The tactician has set his eyes on first understanding the players, their strengths and weaknesses, and after which he says he will instill his philosophy to the players which he believes will turn the bottom-placed team fortunes’ around.OFFICIALFormer Western Stima head coach, Juma Abdallah is the new Vihiga Bullets head coach. I will first be getting to know the players, their strengths and weaknesses, and after which I will know how best to utilize and get the best out of them. I will also instill my philosophy in the team and we will soon be up and running,” he added.With the league taking a two-week international break, Juma intends to make the most out of it before the league resumes.“This break is important to me and the team because we will have more time to work on a lot of things in training and by the time we play our next game, we would have made some progress, “ he added.Next for Bullets is the local derby against Nzoia Sugar FC.
