The 2021 Charles Schwab Cup Championship at Phoenix Country Club puts a wrap on a “super” season on the PGA Tour Champions.
The club was established in 1899 with 75 members and is now a par-71, 6,853-yard course in central Phoenix.
The golf course was designed by Harry Collis and featured oiled sand greens, once a staple of golf courses in certain areas of the country like Texas and Oklahoma.
In 1932, the course hosted the inaugural Phoenix Open, which was won by Ralph Guldahl, who captured two U.S. Opens and the 1939 Masters.
