Pitch intruders for Messi and Ronaldo? Salah had 3, all in one match!

Maybe he is not THE best footballer in the world, but he is the best footballer in the world at the moment. Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah is by far the most in-form player on the planet so far. The 29-year-old forward has 16 goals in 15 matches this season, some of which have been truly astonishing and he just keeps continuing with excellent displays. Needless to say, the Egyptian is the most popular African footballer by far, and in last night’s game against Angola, he had a chance to step into Messi’s or Ronaldo’s shoes for a while, and be mobbed by pitch invaders.Angolan fan runs to hug Egypt’s Mohamed Salah at the #WCQ in Luanda, Angola. pic.twitter.com/oSHGELvcPZ— ❂ Yübbîę Umoh ❂ (@Yubbie007) November 12, 2021 A brilliant assist by Egypt captain triggered a comeback that earned a 2-2 World Cup draw in Angola on Friday, and a place in the final African qualifying stage. The Liverpool star pushed the ball between two defenders and onrushing Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny slammed the ball into the net to halve an Angolan lead to 2-1 by the interval. Akram Tawfik equalised with a deflected shot just before the hour and the draw gave Egypt an unassailable four-point lead over Gabon in Group F with one round remaining. But, the game has been interrupted no less than three times, as fans invaded the pitch in order to take a selfie with Salah. One Angolan supporter sprinted across the turf just as Egypt were launching an attack for the winner. The forward hugged him before police arrived to march the fan out of the stadium.Cristiano Ronaldo gives his shirt to a young emotional fan who invades the pitch at full-time 👏 💚 pic.twitter.com/mvLorZttPP— Football Daily (@footballdaily) November 11, 2021 A similar thing happened recently both to Messi and Ronaldo. And while Marseille supporter ran to the pitch during the game with PSG and managed to get to the Argentinian after running almost 70 meters across the pitch, Ronaldo was stopped by a supporter. After the final whistle, a young girl ran onto the pitch to greet Ronaldo. She was visibly upset and Ronaldo comforted her and gave her his match shirt.
