Nairobi City Stars CEO Patrick Korir has explained why the club settled on Nicholas Muyoti as head coach following the departure of Sanjin Alagić in July. The position of head coach at the club was rendered vacant when Alagic stepped down from his position due to family reasons and returned to Bosnian. Assistant coach John Amboko handled the team until the end of the 2020/21 season.Simba wa Nairobi then raided Homeboyz for coach Nicholas Muyoti who has so far started his tenure at the club well. Korir has now explained why they went for the former Kenyan international. He says Muyoti’s ability to motivate the players was a key factor that they considered before giving him a chance to lead the team. He also believes that Muyoti is ambitious enough to lead the team to the next level.EXCL: Nicholas Muyoti is the new Nairobi City Stars head coach. He takes over from Sanjin Alagic who resigned July. The former Oserian FC, Zetech University FC, Thika United and Nzoia Sugar FC coach will be deputised by club legend John Amboko.#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/MLyxV3T7SA— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) August 30, 2021 “We knew we had a good team that was ready to compete with the best and we needed a coach who can motivate them and has the ambition to move the club forward.
