Akhulia working on Bidco drawbacks

Bidco United head Anthony Akhulia says they are currently working on the team’s weaknesses ahead of the league resumption in just over one week. The FKF Premier League was suspended for two weeks by the FKF Caretaker Committee to pave way for them to organize to give directions on the running of football in the country after they were handed the mandate by the government.Like other teams, United are training awaiting further directions and Akhulia is using this period to work on his team’s weak areas. He says they are working on mistakes that they detected in the first six games this season.”Right now we are not playing any high profile friendly games because we are focusing more on sharpening our weak areas, we are dealing with the mistakes that we picked in our opening six matches of the season so that when the league resumes we will be better than we were in the first six games, ” he stated.FT: Mathare United 0-1 Bidco United 30′ D.Gateri#MathareVsBidco pic.twitter.com/SiGLYejcl3— Mathare United FC (@MathareUtd) November 6, 2021 Akhulia’s main area of concern is his attack. He says they have been wasting so many chances and ended up losing or drawing games. His backline is also another area that he is trying to straighten.”Majorly we are focusing on our finishing because we have been throwing away so many easy chances and this has proved costly because we end up losing matches or dropping points from positions that we should have comfortably wrapped up matches. So the final third is our many areas of focus right now. In defence we did well in our last game against Mathare, Kasim (Mwinyi) and Wandera (Gabriel) did well at the heart of defence but are not yet there, that’s another area that we have to keep working on until we get it right, ” he added.Bidco registered their first win of the season against Mathare United a week ago and for Akhulia, the triumph is a confidence boost for his outfit.”It was an important win for us. When you’ve lost and failed to win for long, it tends to affect your confidence and such a win is a morale booster. The important thing is now for us to build on it and get more positive results in the coming weeks,” he concluded.Bidco United, Sofapaka ends even in BetKing Premier League round 25 action pic.twitter.com/64oC3gdvjs— Kenn Okaka Kenya (@kennokaka1000) July 11, 2021 Next for Akhulia’s side is a match against Kariobangi Sharks.
