After renewing his contract for a further one year, KCB centre back Nashon Alembi wants to guide the club to its first ever Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) title before turning professional.Alembi joined the bankers on a year-long contract last year from former National Super League side Ushuru and will continue to serve the Zedekiah Otieno coached club for another season after accepting contract extension.The defender who hit the ground running instantly last season despite coming short of top flight experience helped the club have the meanest defence as well as a runner up finish in the competition behind Tusker.Tusker’s Eugene Asike is among the seven nominees as well as Nashon Alembi of KCB after he helped his side to a second finish#FKFPLAwards pic.twitter.com/C6QfBSq9nV— King Mbeee (@IamKingMbee) September 14, 2021 His contribution was rewarded in the end of season awards as he was named the third best defender after David Kalama and the brewers skipper Eugene Asike.Alembi who believes that this will be his final season in the Kenyan league says he dreams of leaving with a league winner medal hanging on his neck.“I extended my stay at KCB for another season after the initial one expired. It is my wish to go professional starting next year and nothing will curtain raise it better than leaving as a champion. We came close last season but we are determined to make to the podium this time round,” he said.Meanwhile, Gor Mahia centre back Frank Odhiambo is the club’s October Player of the month. The budding defender floored forward, Benson Omala and midfielder John Macharia to the award.
