Mathare skipper confident of arrestig poor run

Mathare United captain Chrispinus Oduor has expressed optimism that the team will register positive results when the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) resumes. Before the competition took a break to pave way for the international break, the 2008 league champions had lost two consecutive matches to Bidco United whom they bowed 1-0 to and were on the receiving end of Kariobangi Sharks wrath in the slum derby as they fell 6-0.The worrying run before the breather left them hovering just two places above the red zone, a territory they spend most of the time last season before dramatically pulling out in the penultimate round.##NAJAVA_MECA_5983009##Oduor who is the longest serving player at the club and commands respect for being one of the veterans in the league said the team has had the opportunity to diagnose the problem and has since came with a solution. The 2017 CECAFA Senior Challenge winner with Harambee Stars observed that they were punished in the last two matches for not playing as a unit but the training drills at the Goan Institute grounds had instilled cohesion in the team. “We have been working hard as a unit from the time the league was halted to give room for international matches. The boys have been giving a strong fight in training and hopefully they will replicate it in the competition for we have to get back to winning ways,” he said.Mathare who were forced to make changes in the technical bench before the season kicked off following the exit of Frank Ouna and his assistant George Midenyo have registered two wins from their opening six matches.⚫ | 91′ Goal for Mathare.
