Harambee Stars left-back Bolton Omwenga says he is enjoying his second stint in Tanzanian football and wants to rack in more assists and goals for his new club Kagera Sugar FC.The set-piece specialist, who had initially played for Biashara United in the TPL last year returned to Tanzania in September after a short stint with Nairobi City Stars in the FKF Premier League. He has featured for the sugar-belt side in four out of the five matches that they have played so far this season.Unlike last season when Kagera started the season poorly, this season they have shown slight improvement winning two, drawing two, and losing just one of their five league assignments this season. This positive run has continued to raise the profile of former Kenyan international Francis Baraza who is currently in charge of the team.🔥| One of the best strikes from last season Bolton Omwenga for @NrbCityStars #FKFPL pic.twitter.com/RiZNojgf8o— FKF Premier League (@Officialfkfpl) August 29, 2021 For Omwenga, another chance to play in the Tanzanian league is one he is relishing and is enjoying playing for the team which he says has a strong winning mentality contrary to what was witnessed last season.“I am enjoying it here. I have settled in well and for me and the team, things can only get better. We have a very good team this season with a winning mentality and in each and every game we have been giving our best and I strongly believe that we will keep improving with each passing game if we keep implementing the coach’s tactics and plans,” he stated.𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘 🇰🇪 📝𝗕𝗢𝗟𝗧𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗠𝗪𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗔Karibu Sana katika familia yako mpya ya Wanankurukumbi 🤝🤝 @bolton_omwenga https://t.co/Dbsad7MPQ2— Kagera Sugar Football Club (@kagerasugarfc) August 29, 2021 On his personal goals, Omwenga says he wants to contribute more in the final third of the pitch by providing more assists and chipping in with goals.
