Helpless and powerful. That’s the first description from today’s match between Leicester and Chelsea, which ended with a clear 3-0 win for the Blues. The hosts were helpless against Champions League winner and ended with fifth defeat in the Premier League, but this one will surely hurt. The Foxes were heavily beaten in all parts of the game, as Chelsea basically played a perfect match. From start to finish, Thomas Tuchel’s men attacked, created and most of all, missed a lot of chances. If there was any flow in today’s game, it’s the misses from Chelsea’s players. In reality, it should have been at least 7 goals in Leicester’s net. The Blues scored three goals, another three were nullified due to offside and had at least three great chances. There were no tactical chess games from Tuchel this time, no staying at the back, waiting for the opponent’s mistake, it was a straight forward attack and it looked great and entertaining.⚽ @premierleague goals scored by defenders this season 1️⃣3️⃣ @ChelseaFC 1️⃣ Liverpool1️⃣ Man City0️⃣ Man Utd pic.twitter.com/gzummXHvJN— Sky Sports Statto (@SkySportsStatto) November 20, 2021 Former Leicester back Chilwell had a wonderful chance to score against his former club after only 4 minutes, but it was the bar which prevented the goal. 10 minutes later, Rudiger didn’t miss his opportunity to score. It was another header from Chelsea (their fifth scored) and another received from Leicester (their fifth in the Premier League) for the lead, but Chelsea didn’t stopped there. The Blues continued to press and push and after a few dangerous attacks an unlikely scorer was there to make it 2-0 for the hosts. Defensive midfielder N’golo Kante unleashed a wonderful volley which was just unsavable for Schmeichel and former Leicester man scored an unlikely goal.Second half – same story. Leicester were active for a few minutes, but the situation soon chanced and we saw scenes from the first half – Chelsea attacking and hosts defending. The game ended 3-0, but it could have easily been 6 or 7 goals in Schmeichel’s net, since Hudson-Odoi, Pulišić and Chilwell all had good chances. In the end, Pulišić scored his second goal of the season, and referee also denied another goal from the American, as well as one from Hudson-Odoi and one from James due to offside.Leicester did have a few opportunities, mainly from distance, as they just couldn’t break Chelsea’s defense, but Mandy was there to stop the shots from Amartey and Maddison. Foxes need to record a win as soon as possible. Somehow.PREMIER LEAGUE – Round 12SaturdayLeicester – Chelsea 0-3 (0-2)/Rudiger 14. Kante 28.
