Budding AFC Leopards midfielder Daniel Musamali is grateful to coach Patrick Aussems for granting him his wish of playing for the second most successful football club in the country. Musamali returned to the den this season after spending the past campaign on loan at Nzoia Sugar and has gone on to nail sizeable playing time under the Belgian tactician. Nzoia are understood to have tried to sign the versatile midfielder permanently in the transfer window but Ingwe bosses blocked the transfer owing to the ban on registration of new players the club grappled with for the better part of the past transfer window. Aussems had tow work with a lean squad in the opening five rounds of the season as the club that lost more than half a dozen of its players had not been cleared to register the new ones.Daniel Musamali has returned to AFC Leopards after a season Nzoia Sugar FC where he had been loaned to. #FKFPL pic.twitter.com/X2SoVyOYTT— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) September 17, 2021 Since his return, the midfielder had started in three consecutive matches against Bandari, Ulinzi Stars and Sofapaka before the league had gone on a break and came off the bench in the Mashemeji Derby as well as their barren draw against KCB. The youngster who reportedly turned down an offer from Posta Rangers said it was an honor to play for a club of Leopards calibre and vowed to work harder in a bid to help the outfit redeem itself from the disappointing start. Ingwe began the season with a 1-0 win over Tusker only for hell to break loose from the second match as they have bagged a point from five matches.##NAJAVA_MECA_5990912## “It is not easy for a young player to amass playing time in a big club. I am grateful to the coach for the opportunity he had given me and will continue to push myself so as to maintain my place in the team and help get positive results,” he said. Musamali who has been filling the void left by Said Tsuma in the meantime noted that the break aided the team work on cohesion as well as worked on their weak areas.
