Gin happy to have tested his coaching abilites

Nzoia Sugar trainer Peter Gin says the three weeks he has been in charge of the team have given him more reasons to enroll for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) D coaching course.The former midfielder who hanged his boost before the season began and was subsequently retained in the technical bench as a trainer was tasked to conduct the training sessions following the absence of his boss Ibrahim Shikanda who had been taking part of his CAF B course in Nairobi.With the club lacking a substantive assistant, Shikanda bestowed the leadership mantle to Gin who prior to his retirement had served the club for close to a decade on the pitch as a midfielder and captain.##NAJAVA_MECA_6000797##Gin said the opportunity to coach the players he was privileged to call colleagues in the past helped clear the path to taking up coaching badges starting with level D. “It was a privilege to coach the team when the boss was away in Nairobi for studies. I imparted knowledge to the boys just as instructed by the coach. I also shared with them my understanding of the game.
