Musasia confident of first team duties when action resumes

Posta Rangers combative midfielder Steiner Musasia is putting in a shift in training in a bid to savour more playing time when the Football Kenya Federation Premier League resumes. The upcoming midfielder had not had the privilege of having his name in the Stanley Okumbi’s starting team in the six rounds played before the competition was halted to pave way for the international break and the subsequent and abrupt suspension of the top three tiers by the caretaker committee.Instead, the former national U20 midfielder had to content with coming on from the bench to supplement the efforts of the defence in holding on their advantage until the final whistle.🟡 | Posta Rangers substitution Amos kigade and Musasia steiner 🔁Apudo michael and MaliachiWazito FC 1 Posta Rangers 1#WazitoVsPosta#BKPL pic.twitter.com/fZ4F7jywWU— FKF Premier League (@Officialfkfpl) July 4, 2021 Musasia joined the club in February from division one side Nairobi Stima and was largely used as an impact player owing to the presence of seasoned midfielders who possessed top flight experience. The script had not flipped for the Acakoro Academy graduate this season but he has vowed to force himself into Okumbi’s first team going forward.##NAJAVA_MECA_6000813##“I think my time to sit on the bench in almost coming to an end. I have been working hard with an eye of earning first team duties and I believe that I will achieve it soon. Earning quality playing time was my plan before the season began but a slight ankle injury slowed me but I have since recovered,” he said.Musasia’s chances of showcasing his talent in the league have been sliced down by the presence of the long serving Victor Majid who joined the club before the season began.Okumbi has preferring the former Mufulira Wanderers man to shield the defence with William Odero as well as versatile former Gor Mahia midfielder Bernard Ondiek offering options.
