The National Super League (NSL) is set to resume on 4 December 2021 following a successful meeting conducted by the Football Kenya Federation Caretaker Committee and a majority of teams plying their trade in the second tier league.In the meeting held on Thursday, the sixteen teams that were in attendance successfully agreed to commence their league on the same date as the top tier league as they even went ahead to nominate four club chairmen to work closely with the caretaker committee.We started the BNSL season with our marksman and key players missing due to injury however when the League resumes they will be ready for action again!#fcukzoo #magicalkericho #BNSL pic.twitter.com/B3yJZZh4UN— Zoo FC (@zoofootballclub) November 23, 2021 In the four clubs that did not attend the event, Vihiga United and Mwatate United sent their apologies while Coastal Heroes and Murang’a Seal did not as the other teams resolved to support the caretaker committee.“Following a fruitful meeting between the FKF Caretaker Committee and the National Super League clubs (NSL) to chart the way forward regarding the resumption of the top-tier league, the Clubs agreed on the following resolutions;1. The National Super League clubs agree to resume league on December 4, 2021.2. Clubs nominated Daniel Magara (Kibera Black Stars), Nicholas Ochieng (Kisumu All Stars), Rose Chemutai (APS Bomet), Moses Adagala (Muhoroni Youth) to work closely with the FKF Caretaker Committee to ensure smooth resumption of the National Super League.3. The National Super League Clubs resolved to support the Government initiative to install the FKF Caretaker Committee with a view to revamping football in the country,” a press release read.The Clubs in attendance were APS Bomet, Fortune Sacco, Mombasa Elite, Zoo FC, Kibera Black Stars, Kisumu All Stars, Gusii United, Shabana, Muhoroni Youth, Mullys FC (MFC), Mara Sugar FC, Naivas FC, Silibwet FC, Migori Youth, SS Assad and Dandora Love.The clubs that sent apology were Vihiga United and Mwatate United.
