Nairobi City Stars winger Rodgers Okuse is back in training after recovering from a foot injury that he picked at the end of October during a league match against Posta Rangers in Thika.The diminutive winger was forced off with an injury after a bad challenge from a Posta player and has been on the recovery path ever since. My leg was swollen after a bad tackle against Posta Rangers. It was so bad that I could not even wear shoes but I thank god that I am not good and ready to play when the league resumes,” he told Mozzart Sport.City Stars, who are currently third in the FKF Premier League log with 13 points are currently under former Kenyan international Nicholas Muyoti who took over before the start of the season. He replaced Sanjin Alagic who opted to go back home and under Muyoti, Simba wa Nairobi look very solid. Okuse says that he is enjoying working under the former Homeboyz boss who he termed as a great teacher and motivator.“I am enjoying working under coach Muyoti. He is a great coach, a great motivator and everyone in the team is learning a lot from him and it is evident in how we are playing and performing in the league so far. He also wants to register more assists this season.“I want to add more goals to my game and of course register more assists. 15 goals is a target I can achieve if I manage to remain fit and work hard,” he concluded.City Stars will take on Kariobangi Sharks when the now suspended FKF Premier League resumes.
