FKF Premier League side, Vihiga Bullets, and Shabana FC played out to a one-all draw in an FKF Premier League match staged at Demesi Grounds in Sabatia on Saturday morning. With all the leagues in the country currently suspended, the two teams were making use of the friendly match to remain in good shape ahead of the leagues’ resumption on 4th December.Bullets went ahead in the early stages of the game through new signing Amos Kigadi in a half that was largely balanced and both teams creating numerous goal-scoring chances. The visitors got a share of the spoils when Bernard Ochieng drew them level with a bullet header.Bullets are currently under veteran coach Juma Abdallah who says he noted positives in the game. The tactician, who replaced Evans Mafuta three weeks ago says he fielded his first team against the former FKF PL giants and was impressed by their show.Fulltime: Vihiga Bullets Fc 1 Shabana Fc 1— Shabana Fc Kenya (@Shabanafckenya) November 27, 2021 “I played my first team against Shabana because I wanted to see how they can compete and I can say that my players showed some massive improvement in that game. I have been trying to instill my philosophy in the team and when they implement what you tell them then that is some good progress,” he told Mozzart Sport.Juma however admits that there is more work to be done and has lined up another friendly match on Wednesday against NSL side Silibwet before they play KCB over the weekend.“We are not yet there, we have a lot of things to improve on but I believe that by the time we play our first match against KCB, we will be in a much better state, the players are improving with each passing game, we plan to play Silibwet on Wednesday and I believe with training and more build-up games we will get better,” he added. The team is currently rooted at the bottom of the FKF Premier League with just one point after six rounds of league matches.
