Tusker FC skipper Eugene Asike has called on his side to maximize on the home advantage they will get in the first leg of their crucial CAF Confederation Cup playoff match against Tunisian side CS Sfaxien on Sunday 28 November at Nyayo National Stadium. After being dumped out of the CAF Champions League by Egyptian giants Zamalek, the Brewers were handed a continental lifeline as they dropped down to the CAF Confederation Cup where a chance to make it to the group stages awaits should they win the two legged tie.We are back in action this Sunday and it’s Continental Duty calling.#KenyaMilele #Brewers4Life pic.twitter.com/7heG9t8Czr— 🏆Tusker FC (@tusker_fc) November 25, 2021 Ahead of the first leg being played in Nairobi, Asike has rallied his team to go all out for a win in order to stand any fighting chance of making it to the prestigious group stages of the competition, something they did not do when they hosted Zamalek in the Champions League first leg where they lost 1-0 at Nyayo.“We are going to look for win at home and we have prepared very well. We need to have a good start and a good result which we can defend away from home,” Asike is quoted on the club’s website.Despite not making it to the continental scene for almost four years since 2018, the Harambee Stars international backed his side to level up to the challenge of taking a team that graces the continental tournaments more often than not.“It is a good team with experienced players and they are more experienced than us in this competition. But with the quality we have on the side, we will be good to go on Sunday. The motivation is high to face them and we will need to give a good performance,” Asike added. The match takes place at 1500 EAT on Sunday.
