Kakamega Homeboyz boss Bernard Mwalala has admitted that his side will miss the services of Francis Omondi with the midfielder set to be sidelined for an unspecified period after undergoing surgery. The club on Saturday announced that the defensive midfielder will be out for four weeks after undergoing what they termed as minor surgery. This comes at a time when the player has been in sensational form for the Kakamega-based club that is yet to lose a match this season.Although the club initially announced that he will be out for a month, Mwalala says they cannot give a definite date when the player will be back in action. “A surgery however small is a delicate process and so we cannot give an exact date when the player will be back. For now, we are wishing him a speedy recovery and we are praying that he heals soon so that he can resume training and be back playing,” he stated.Update:Midfield dynamo Francis Omondi will be out for four weeks after undergoing a minor surgery.
