Embattled Football Kenya Federation president Nick Mwendwa will spend another night behind bars after Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Eunice Nyutu detained him until Tuesday at 2:30 PM awaiting her ruling on whether to admit the charge sheet against him.Mwendwa and his legal team have opposed plea taking to fraud charges highlighting that the FKF President’s rights have been violated by the police and DPP.He appeared at the Anti-Corruption Court in Milimani having spent the weekend behind bars and is facing four counts of fraudulent acquisition of public property.Nick Mwendwa charge sheet… fraudulent acquisition of public property. pic.twitter.com/qHRyH2NTYg— Tony Anelka (@tonyanelka) November 29, 2021 Mwendwa was charged with unlawful acquisition of public property in four counts, totaling Ksh 37.7M between March and May 2021.His recent arrest came two days after the judiciary dismissed the DCI’s wish to hold him in custody until they firm up a cogent criminal case.
