Paris Saint Germain is expanding it’s empire whenever possible, and the latest country to have a PSG academy is Rwanda. After a long term collaboration with ‘Visit Rwanda’, the Parisians officially opened academy with distinguished guests like Sports Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, French ambassador to Rwanda and PSG delegation led by club’s legend Rai Oliveira. A brand new academy will give 172 kids the opportunity to train in a world class environment with PSG coaches, and it’s the first one to be completely free.”Visit Rwanda” sponsorship deal is another problem for Arsenal172 children, both boys and girls from the age of 6 until 16 were selected out of 2000 kids from schools in the region. Every year, around 500 additional children from the local community will be invited to take part in courses or one-off events organised on the site, in order to give them a taste of the Paris Saint-Germain experience.“The introduction of specialized training to Rwandan football technicians and coaches is an added advantage to Rwanda’s football development. The academy in Huye district will also improve the socio-economic situation of the local population. At age 14, a professional football club gave me a chance after seeing me play in the street. At the time, there were no organisations like this! This academy gives many young people a fantastic opportunity to fulfil their potential.
