Yakhama determined to follow footsteps of former teammates, Rupia and Masita

Brian Yakhama was part of the Nzoia Sugar team that gained promotion to the Football Kenya Federation Premier League late in 2016 after conquering the second tier where they won the league with a whopping 85 points. The forward had the privilege of playing alongside Kenyan international Elvis Rupia and Ulinzi Stars marksman Masita Masuta in the forward line that scored at will in the second tier. The duo of Rupia and Masita took top flight football by storm after promotion and ended up ditching the club for greener pastures but the script was different for Yakhama. The forward who didn’t have an instant impact in the top league was forced to return to the second tier where he joined Ushuru who had been relegated.📶 | 41′ Few minutes to the breakBrian Yakhama’s goal the difference here at Kasarani Vihiga Bullets are pushing for an equalizer Talanta FC 1 Vihiga Bullets 0#TalantaVsBullets#FKFPL— FKF Premier League (@Officialfkfpl) October 23, 2021 Yakhama remained in the books of the taxmen until last year when he signed for FC Talanta who eventually won the league and were ushered in the biggest football competition in the land. With two goals against his name in the league, Yakhama is hoping that breakthrough will knock his door this season and follow the footsteps of Rupia and Masita.##NAJAVA_MECA_6008889## ” When we qualified to the premier league with Nzoia, I had hopes of soaring to the next level.
