Former Harambee Stars head coach Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee says Gor Mahia have to improve if they are to oust Otoho d’ Oyo from the CAF Confederation Cup when the two teams face-off in the return leg on Saturday 4th December at the Nyayo National Stadium.Ghost fell short of writing off K’Ogalo in a brutal assessment of the record Kenyan champions’ quest for a group stage berth and the accompanying millions.Gor fell 1-0 to Otoho on Sunday in Congo and the Kenyan champions have a chance to redeem themselves when the two teams meet again in the return leg in Kenya. Ahead of the match however, Ghost feels Gor Mahia are not solid enough to turn the tie to their favor. In an interview, the tactician says Gor have not looked solid and says they looked shaky during their last league match against Kenya Police earlier this month.“I’ve seen K’Ogalo in the few Kenyan Premier League matches they have featured in this season and they don’t look solid at all. They appeared shaky against debutantes, Kenya Police,” he told the Star.🟢 | UPDATE We are in Ethiopia right now waiting to board our flight to Nairobi…. touch down time at JKIA – 1.20am. #Sirkal | #Betsafe pic.twitter.com/fvaM8ShbhN— GOR MAHIA FC (@OfficialGMFC) November 29, 2021 Gor Mahia will have to turn the tie with a lean squad of 15 players as their new signings are not registered for this stage. In Congo they only had 12 players at their disposal after Jules Ulimwengu and John Ochieng allegedly tested positive for Covid-19 while Philemon Otieno and Sydney Ochieng were ruled out through injuries, they however managed to avoid a rout and have a fighting chance in the second leg. Captain Harun Shakava is reportedly carrying a knock and coach Mark Harrison will be hoping to have a competitive squad available for the match.
