Francis Kimanzi-led FKF Premier League side Wazito FC edged out Kenyan champions Tusker FC 3-2 in a friendly match staged at the Ruaraka Stadium on Tuesday morning.With the FKF Premier League suspended, the two teams organized a friendly match ahead of league resumption. The match was even more important to Tusker FC who are preparing for next weekend’s CAF Confederation return leg match against CS Sfaxien in Tunisia. In the first leg played on Sunday at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi, the two teams played out to a barren draw and have all to play for on 5th Sunday in Tunis. In the friendly game, Tusker went ahead mid through the first half through Ibrahim Joshua who converted from the penalty spot after a foul inside the penalty area. Kevin Kimani then joined the scoring party with Wazito’s leveler once again. Masika would then decide the tie with Wazito’s third goal of the game and his second.The triumph comes as a big boost for Wazito who are still seeking their first win of the season. The win is a confidence boost as they look forward to league resumption over the weekend. Wazito’s first assignment will be a home tie against Ulinzi Stars. Tusker on the other hand will travel to Tunisia for the match against CS Sfaxien before they return home for a league match against Sofapaka.Tusker are currently 12th in the FKF Premier League with six points while Wazito are 17th with two points.
