The Kenya National Amputee Football Team are a step closer to finishing fifth in the Cup of Africa Nations Amputee Football after a hard-fought 5-4 win over Egypt. A hat-trick from Mohammed Munga and a brace from Nicholus Keiyo was enough for Kenya to claim victory in the fifth place playoffs.Kenya had to dig deep and showed some mettle after coming from behind three times in the game but a spirited second-half performance saw them claim the win. Kenya trailed thrice in the first half as they went into the halftime break losing 2-3 but resumed the closing stanza a different animal as they equalized and pulled ahead.Egypt however refused to go down without a fight as they equalized following a lapse of concentration from the Kenya backline. With 15 minutes left on the clock however, Kenya found the winning goal and managed to hold on to the lead till the full-time whistle.Kenya will now play Morocco in the fifth-eight place playoffs after the North African nation thumped Cameroon 4-1.Ghana handed Kenya heartache in the quarter-final after a 4-0 drabbing which relegated the side to the fifth-eighth place playoffs.
