Mwangi Muthee – Kenyan football will resume as earlier planned by Caretaker Committee

The Aaron Ringera-led Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Caretaker Committee has reassured the football fraternity of prompt resumption of activities this weekend starting with the top-flight league on Saturday 4 December 2021 as planned.Over the past week, uncertainty has been rife as to whether the league will be able to resume normalcy ever since the caretaker committee took over all footballing activities after the November international break.Initially, the 2021/2022 campaign was supposed to get back on 26 November after the completion of a two-week suspension that had been imposed to allow for the regularization of league activities across the country after the takeover. That was however not to be as the date was pushed forward by a further week in unclear circumstances.🚨JUST IN🚨🇰🇪 Top five Kenyan leagues including the Premier League, National Super League and Women’s Premier League have been suspended for a period of two weeks from Friday 12 November.Leagues under branches and sub branches will however not be affected.#FFP pic.twitter.com/R47YcVHK9c— Friends of Football (@friendsofutball) November 12, 2021 Speaking to Mozzart Sport on Thursday, Mwangi Muthee confirmed that there will be no more delays as the caretaker committee has decided to restart the league this weekend.”The league is set to resume this weekend 4 December as we communicated earlier.
