Pedri, take notes! From a Golden Boy to Forgotten Ruin in a couple of years

Barcelona’s latest gem Pedri is definitely a new kid on the block with his masterful skills and talent, which provided him with a much-deserved Golden Boy award for the world’s best young footballer. He is the third Spaniard to achieve something like that since the award was introduced back in 2004.Pedri is the 2021 Golden Boy!After Cesc Fabregas, the Golden Boy in 2006 as the Gunners star, the next Spanish player considered the future star was Francisco Roman Alarcon Isco. Then-promising 20-year-old midfielder of the LaLiga’s outfit Malaga had the world at his feet and was soon signed by the Spanish greats Real Madrid. The fact he was a household name with both Los Blancos and the Spanish national team before his 21st birthday obviously didn’t serve as further motivation for the gifted player. At one point, Isco refused to take the bus with the rest of his teammates and deliberately missed Solari’s pre-match team talk ahead of their Champions League game against Ajax.Marco Asensio could give Carlo Ancelotti his first real problem upon Real Madrid returnWhen Carlo Ancelotti returned to the Santiago Bernabeu slot, it seemed like a new day was rising for the once-stellar midfielder. The Italian boss gave him another chance to regain previous respect, which resulted in two lineup placements in the three LaLiga’s opening rounds. However, it was a short-lived resurrection, with Isco failing to put on the expected effort. He has spent only 176 minutes on the pitch during only seven games, whilst scoring a single goal and leaving a blank space in the assists’ column. So little for a once world’s best young player. isco 20/21 Stats pic.twitter.com/ibNrysKMlf— ASH (@merengueASH) October 10, 2021 That’s a lesson Pedri should take into consideration and give his best to avoid Isco’s mistakes, especially in terms of poor relationships with almost all of his tacticians.
