Canadian club FC Montreal has parted ways with seven players among them Ugandan left-back Mustafa Kizza, the club has announced.The left-back, who joined Montreal in 2020 leaves the club after failing to cement his place in Montreal’s team. He has partly used during his time at the club and after the conclusion of the MLS campaign, the club has opted to show him the door.He has been axed alongside keeper Sebastian Breza, Aljaz Struna, Jean-Yves Ballou Tabla, Celement Bayiha, Tomas Giraldo and Emmanuel Maciel.“The Club will not exercise its option for goalkeeper Sebastian Breza (option to purchase), defenders Mustafa Kizza, Aljaz “Kiki” Struna, midfielders Jean-Yves Ballou Tabla, Clément Bayiha, Tomas Giraldo, and Emanuel Maciel,” read the statement in part.The player took to social media to thank the club for the opportunity to feature for the team. Wanyama had also been linked with a move away from the club after the conclusion of the 2021 season with Celtic touted as his next destination but he has since dismissed the claims and reaffirmed his commitment to the club.
