Fit-again Bandari centre back Andrew Juma says he is ready for fight for a share of play time when the Football Kenya Federation Premier League resumes after shaking off an ankle injury. Juma was rested in the first half during their one all-draw away to Kakamega Homeboyz three weeks ago after suffering a knock on his ankle with his place taken by Siraj Mohamed. With the FKF caretaker committee projecting competitive football to resume this weekend after almost a month-long break, Juma revealed that he had recovered and tested his fitness levels in the friendly matches the club had been playing.Loh! I recovered a couple of days ago and even played in the build up match against Mwatate,” he said. Before the competition was halted, Bandari had amassed thirteen points out of a possible eighteen and were one shy of league leaders Gor Mahia. Ahead of the much awaited resumption, Juma said the team is keen on picking from where they left and continue the journey to win titles.Bandari last laid hands on a major title in 2019 when they beat Kariobangi Sharks to the Football Kenya Federation Cup.🔶 | 40′ Substitution for Bandari FCBandari FC’s centre back Andrew Juma is injured ➡️ Siraj Mohammed ⬅️ Juma AndrewKakamega Homeboyz 0 Bandari FC 1#HomeboyzVsBandari#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/IWBnu2whqZ— FKF Premier League (@Officialfkfpl) November 7, 2021 “Nothing has changed in as far as the objectives of the season are concerned. We had earmarked titles as our irreducible minimums of the term and we resume with the same hunger we had,” he noted. Juma who joined the dockers before the campaign kicked off from Gor in the meantime welcomed the competition for playing time from the other centre backs saying that it will serve to solidify the department.
