The coastal derby pitting Mombasa Elite and Coast Heroes highlights the four National Super League (NSL) matches lined up for Saturday across different venues. The two clubs that rebranded before the season began were firing from all cylinders before the league was halted and will be seeking to secure the bragging rights in the match set to be held at the Serani grounds.Elite were formerly known as Modern Coast Rangers while Heroes were registered as Coast Stima and had to rebrand after parting ways with their former shirt sponsor, the Kenya Power and Lighting Company.Heroes warmed up for the clash with a 2-2 draw against top-flight side Bandari and will be hoping to ferry the confidence derived from the game into the fixture and maintain their 100 per cent record. The club team manager Ken Onukho says the break did not affect their momentum in any way and expressed optimism in bagging the three points.”Getting maximum points from a derby has never been easy but the boys are equal to the task. We played a series of friendly matches during the time competitive football was on a break and the players appeared promising,” he said. His Elite counterpart Ferdinard Ogot was also certain of lording over their opponents as well as keeping their unbeaten run.”We are glad that some of the players who had slight knocks are available for selection. This is a fixture we have always looked forward to and want to win in a convincing way,” he said.Mechi yetu inayofuata ni dhidi ya Zoo Fc tutakaocheza nao tarehe 04/12/2021 saa tisa 🕰️ mchana katika uwanja wa Awendo Green Stadium 🏟️ katika mashindano🏆 ya NSL.Shabana Fc🔥 tunaenda kumaliza biashara mapema sanaaa yaani hawataamini😅#ToreBobe#ToreMorero pic.twitter.com/1zlv4rgcdA— Shabana Fc Kenya (@Shabanafckenya) December 2, 2021 In other matches lined up for the day, former top-flight sides Shabana and Zoo will battle it out at the Awendo Green Stadium.
