Sofa’s coach Ken Odhiambo was curiously missing but his assistant David Ouma took charge of the touchline.Batoto Ba Mungu took full control of the game in the first half, threatening to score in a couple more instances. The second half started with Police taking control and even came close through Duke Abuya whose header from a Clifton Miheso cross rebounded off the woodwork.Ouma was the first of the two managers to make changes, throwing in Hansel Ochieng and resting Roy Okal at the stroke of the hour mark.A flick from John Mark Makwatta to find Charles Ouma almost yielded the equalizer but Ouma opted to play a low pass into the six area although shooting seemed the best option.Still chasing the game, Bobby Ogolla brought in Clinton Kinanga and David Oluoch for Makwatta and Erick Kipkirui to intensify the search for an equalizer.A distribution error by the goal keeper Gideon Ogweno saw Lawrence Juma slot in the second goal and cushion their advantage. With ten minutes left to play, Ogolla brought in Arwine Odoyo for Clifton Miheso as Ouma withdrew Waithira and Nixon Omondi for David Kingatua and Daniel Guya as they sought to seal off the ‘crime scene’.Police FC did everything perfectly but score.Police FC Starting XI: Gedion Ogweno, Cornelius Juma, Faustine Samaki, Soita Silicho, Musa Mohammed, Duke Abuya, Clifton Miheso, John Mark Makwatta, Charles Ouma, Duncan Otieno, Erick KipkiruiSubs: Reuben Juma, Clinton Kinanga, Aryine Odoyo, David Oluoch, Kelvin Omondi, Samuel Ndirangu, Lesley OwinoSofapaka Starting XI: Kevin Omondi, Stephen Okolla, David Nshimirimana, Titus Achesa, David Odhiambo, Sebastien Sunday, Tsuma Said, Roy Okal, Joe Waithira, Lawrence Juma, Nixon OmondiSubs: Simon Masaka, Elvis Ronack, Daniel Guya, Wilberforce Lugogo, David Kingatua, Geoffrey Ojunga, Brian Obiero, Hamid Mohammed, Hansel Ochieng
