He also said that he had warned the team against any form of laxity against the Slum Boys.“Heading into a game against a team that has been struggling I had to prepare my team mentally not to underrate Mathare United because sometimes complacency tends to creep in and I could see laxity in the way we approached the game but fortunately we fought back and got a point but it is also a good lesson on never giving back until it is over. We are definitely disappointed that we did not win but this fightback also shows that we are mentally strong and we can fight back from losing positions,” he stated. The draw, coupled with Kariobangi Sharks’ loss to Kenya Police lifted Homeboyz to top in the FKF Premier League with 17 points after seven rounds of league assignments. Next for them is an away game against Bidco United.
