Mwalala eager to win the FKFPL title for Western Kenya

Kakamega Homeboyz boss Bernard Mwalala says it is time for a team outside Nairobi to win the league title and backed his side to compete for the league title this season.Homeboyz are currently joint top with Gor Mahia in the FKF Premier League log with 17 points after seven rounds of league matches. They are yet to lose a league assignment this season and some have labeled them this season’s dark horses. Teams like the now-defunct Mumias Sugar and Nzoia Sugar bagged a couple of titles in the past years.”It’s been a while since a team from Western Region won a league title and we would be happy to bring the league title back to this region. We have started the season well and I can confidently say that Homeboyz is in a position to compete for the title this season,” he told Mozzart Sport.On his team’s chances, Mwalala says everyone in the team believes that they can contest for the title this season.”The management, the players, and the coaching staff are all reading from the same script and we will try to win the league this season.
