Vihiga Bullets head coach Juma Abdallah has admitted that only the mid-season transfer window will save his team after they suffered a seventh consecutive league defeat on Wednesday in the hands of Gor Mahia at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega.Gor Mahia’s 3-0 win over Bullets was the seventh consecutive defeat the bottom-placed team suffered. They are rooted at the bottom of the log with just one point and despite being just eight matches to the new season, many are backing them for relegation back to the second tier. They began the season with a 0-0 draw against Bidco United and after that, it has been a free-fall for them. They changed coaches, firing Evans Mafuta for Juma who two matches into his reign has not figured how to stabilize the fast-sinking ship.##EDITORS_CHOICE##He now admits that the team’s fortunes lie in the next window when he intends to sign new players for the team. He has already identified these experienced players that he intends to rope in once the transfer window swings open.“I will have to push these players for now until the window opens; I have already identified good, experienced players for signing. We will have a better team after we make the signings but for now, we have to keep pushing these boys to perform. We need at least 2-3 wins before the mid-season window,” he stated. For now, however, he has to work with the players at his disposal, a task he admits will not be an easy one. He however wants his side to pick at least a single victory to boost their confidence. “The truth is there is a lot of work to be done in the team, most of these players are very young with no experience and right now I am using my experience as a coach to try and unlock matches. We are striving to see if we can get at least a single win that will help build on the confidence of the players,” he added.Reflecting on the game against Gor, the tactician said that concentration lapses was to blame for the 3-0 humbling at their backyard. Much more than a broth for Nanyuki cook in Omoka na Moti win“I think we generally played well, the players followed instructions well but some concentration lapses cost us and these are things that I believe we can work on,” he concluded.Next for Bullets is a match against AFC Leopards at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega on Sunday 12th December from 5PM EAT. “I have noted a lot of improvements since I took over and I believe AFC Leopards are beatable especially now that we are playing at home.” Juma concluded.Additional reporting Meshack Kisenge
