Muyoti implores City Stars to stoke more fire into the attacking department

Despite already being the second highest scoring team in the league after nine round of matches played, Nairobi City Stars head coach Nicholas Muyoti has called upon his side to become even more ruthless in front of goal as the season progresses.Currently, only fifth placed Kariobangi Sharks, who have scored 18 goals, boast of being in front of City Stars who have managed two goals fewer as they sit in fourth place on 17 points, only one behind current table toppers Gor Mahia. In the team’s latest victory that was a 2-0 win against Mathare United, both goals scored by Peter ‘Pinchez’ Opiyo resulted from set pieces and the previous clash before the slum boys fixture, the Kawangware based side failed to create any meaningful chances as they were held to a barren stalemate against Nzoia Sugar.Pinchez brace helps City Stars sink poor Mathare UnitedIn the wake of the scoring challenges, the former Kakamega Homeboyz head coach has raised his concerns and called on his side to improve on their play in the final third after improving on an area that was once a problem to the team.“We started the league on a bad note especially in our defensive discipline but we have really worked on that area considering that we have not conceded in our last two goals which is a big plus for us. The only problem now is our final third where we need to make sure that we are creating chances and scoring even more goals,” Muyoti told Mozzart Sport.FULLTME GALLERY 📸 v Mathare +FULL MATCH REPORT [https://t.co/ni7a4toWNa]#𝕊𝕚𝕞𝕓𝕒𝕎𝕒ℕ𝕒𝕚𝕣𝕠𝕓𝕚 pic.twitter.com/o82SPQTgqV— Official Nairobi City Stars Fc (@NrbCityStars) December 13, 2021 Since taking over at City Stars at the start of the 2021/2022 campaign, Muyoti has lost on only two occasions in the the opening nine games, winning five times and drawing two.
