Asieche confident Wazito’s fortunes will turn around

Wazito FC midfielder Eli Asieche is confident his side can turn around the bleak situation that they currently find themselves in, second bottom on FKFPL log having only managed six points since the season started. After nine rounds of matches played, Wazito occupy one of two automatic relegation spots having recorded only one win in what has been a poor start to the team that was expected to be among the top considering the very impressive signings they made in the off season transfer window.##EDITORS_CHOICE##However, despite the shambolic start to the 2021/2022 campaign, the former Sofapaka midfielder and captain has expressed optimism as he backed the team to have things turn in their favour sooner rather than later as he also noted that they have been making progress despite the results reflecting otherwise.“Our run has not been good the way we had anticipated at the start. But in every match, we have been improving our game so we are hopeful that we will get the consistency to win. We are doing everything possible as a team and it is just luck that has not been on our side,” the player told Mozzart Sport.GOOOOALEli Asieche with a beauty, we are levelSofapaka 1-1 Wazito FC#Wazito4life— Wazito Football Club (@wazitofc) December 8, 2021 Away from the team, Asieche expressed his delight at getting a lot of playing time since joining the club midway through last season. Upon joining, the player’s run was hampered by stop start appearances owing to injuries suffered during multiple times.“I am grateful for the chance being entrusted upon me because the competition in the team currently is very high. Every player is working hard to get playing time which keeps everyone on toes,” the player added.I am yet to understand why Sofapaka FC decided to part ways with Eli Asieche. Now the former Sofapaka captain has signed for Wazito FC. Without a doubt, this is a good signing. pic.twitter.com/G6myYCMZuM— Mr. Tabayoyong (@_VinnieTitus) February 3, 2021 Wazito next take on Mathare United on Sunday afternoon at Kasarani Stadium.
