Muguna’s Azam FC sack head coach

Tanzanian giants Azam FC have parted ways with Zambian coach George ‘Chicken’ Lwandamina after a difficult start to the 2021/22 Premier League campaign. His dismissal comes after the weekend’s barren draw against Kagera Sugar at the Chamazi Complex. After eight rounds of league matches, the team is seventh with 11 points, nine off league leaders Yanga SC.The tactician has been under pressure in recent weeks with fans calling for his sacking. A number of coaches including AFC Leopards’ Peter Aussems had been linked with the job and after firing blanks on Sunday, the club made a major decision to part ways with him.In a statement released by the club, the tactician said he had chosen to leave the club immediately in the best interest of the club.🇹🇿 George Lwandamina has left Azam FC by mutual consent. The best team in Tanzania are now without a manager. pic.twitter.com/p2cCkuNAW0— African Insider (@African_Insider) December 14, 2021 “𝑰𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑨𝒛𝒂𝒎 𝑭𝒐𝒐𝒕𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝑪𝒍𝒖𝒃 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕, 𝑰 𝑮𝒆𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒆 𝑳𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒂, 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒃𝒚 𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔, 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒐𝒇 𝑨𝒛𝒂𝒎 𝑭𝒐𝒐𝒕𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒍𝑪𝒍𝒖𝒃, 𝒆𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒚,” read part of the statement released by Azam.He went on to thank the club for giving him the opportunity to lead the team and wished the club growth and success.“𝑰𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒂𝒏 𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒃, 𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝑰 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝒎𝒚 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓.
