Injury boost for Police as Musa returns ahead of Bidco tie

Kenya Police FC will welcome back captain Musa Mohamed for their weekend’s Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match against Bidco United and coach Bobby Ogola says his return is a big boost for his team.Musa missed last weekend’s match against Wazito FC through suspension after accumulating five yellow cards. In his absence, the law enforcers worked with a make-shift central defence pairing of Duncan Otieno and Soita Silicho as they played out to a one-all draw with the Francis Kimanzi-led Wazito.Next for the Law Enforcers is a match against Bidco United and for the match, the former Gor Mahia captain will be available for selection. For coach Ogola, this is a big boost as it will also free Otieno to return to the middle of the park as they go all out in search of their third win of the season against Anthony Akhulia’s men.PHOTO DUMP WAZITO FC 1-1 KENYA POLICE FC pic.twitter.com/T5alui4vcP— KENYA POLICE FC (@kenyapolicefc) December 11, 2021 “We will have Musa back which is a big boost for us because of his quality and experience. We missed him against Wazito but Duncan Otieno filled in well. When he returns, Duncan will go back to midfield and I think we will be more solid having both players on the pitch,” he stated.Despite making high-profile signings before the start of the season, Police have found the going tough in the league as they have managed just eight points in nine rounds of league matches. Ogola believes that their biggest undoing has been not converting the chances that they create in matches.“Our problem has been in converting chances but as you know scoring is just a moment, you either get it right or not. The positive thing is we are creating chances; many of them and we will now have to work on finishing which is the final thing. With time I believe that we will get it right,” he added.
