Ulinzi Stars will be hoping to put an end to their two-match losing streak when they host struggling Vihiga Bullets at ASK Grounds, Nakuru on Saturday afternoon. This will be the first league meeting between the two sides following Bullets’ promotion to the top tier at the end of the previous National Super League (NSL) campaign.Vihiga Bullets is the only team yet to record a win in the current season after nine rounds of matches and will be out to upset the Soldiers who have failed to tick since resuming action earlier in the month. Before the one-month break, Ulinzi were flying high and were one of the sides that were yet to lose a match.Ulinzi Stars defender Kevin Ouma believes that the team is ready to bounce back after the two defeats in a row, noting that confidence in the team is high.”We have prepared well for this game. The last two matches have been tough for us, in terms of the results, but we are now psyched up. The confidence in training this week has been top and I think we will bounce back well depending on how we have trained this week. We are gpoing for the clean sheet at home and I hope I can help the team win,” the defender said. The Abdallah Juma-coached side collected their second point of the season against AFC Leopards and will be hoping to build on that performance to turn around their season which seems to be wayward at the moment.Juma lauded his charges following the draw with Ingwe, terming the result a morale booster. The Soldiers have not scored a goal since the 2-all draw against Talanta in November, losing in the subsequent matches that they have failed to score. While Ulinzi Stars have one of the meanest defences in the league having conceded only six goals, Bullets is the leakiest side and has let in a record 23 goals after just nine matches. However, all is not lost as the league is still in the early stages and a win would see them move to within touching distance of Wazito, Mathare United, and Nzoia Sugar depending on their results in respective matches.Ulinzi Stars acquisition in the transfer window, Hillary Simiyu missed the loss to KCB and could possibly miss this match too, with the striker set to undergo military training starting January. To get back their mojo, Ulinzi Stars have to win this match which will boost their morale big time. The match kicks off at 3 PM.
