Ochola elated with win over Bullets, heaps praise on coach Abdalla

Ulinzi Stars head coach Stephen Ochola is relieved to have returned to winning ways in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) on Saturday with a 2-0 triumph over bottom-placed Vihiga Bullets at the ASK Grounds in Nakuru.Heading to the game, the Soldiers were winless in four league outings. They had registered two draws and two defeats. Bullets on the other hand have just two points and wanted to defy the odds by getting their first-ever top-flight win against the 2010 league champions.🚨Full time reaction!Ulinzi Stars FC 2-0 Vihiga Bullets FC ✅ Karibu Premier League kijana😎📸 Courtesy pic.twitter.com/0pYBxHOcX8— Ulinzi Stars FC (@UlinziStarsFC) December 18, 2021 In the end, pre-match favourites Ulinzi prevailed, winning the game courtesy of first-half goals from Oscar Wamalwa, skipper of the day and Bernard Ongoma. The win also lifted them to eighth in the log with 15 points. In his post-match interview, Ochola expressed his delight in ending the undesirable run. He was also full of praise for his Bullets counterpart whom he credits for introducing him to football in 2003. Ochola turned out for Thika United before heading to Ulinzi Stars and it is at the now-defunct club that he played under the veteran tactician who also continues to play a role in his fledgling coaching career.“We were looking for maximum points and I’m glad we got them. It was a sweet victory for me as I played against coach Abdallah Juma who introduced me to football in 2003. I respect coach Juma as he keeps advising me on how to improve the team’s weak points,” said Ochola.BULLET PROOF!
