Ulinzi Stars defender Kevin Ouma has recounted settling in at the club with ease since making the move to the Nakuru-based side from Posta Rangers before the start of the season. The former Posta Rangers defender has been a key asset for the Soldiers since joining and has featured in all games for Ulinzi Stars, playing full minutes in all of them and helping the team keep five clean sheets in the process.Apart from helping the team keep clean sheets, Ouma also has a goal to his name, netting against Bidco United in Nakuru in October. The defender attributed his quick fit into the team to working towards creating an understanding with the backline and was surprised to be handed an early chance after signing.”I took less time to fit in with the entire backline, the likes of Birgen (Brian), Muchika (Bonaventure), Mwale (Harun), Saruni (James). When I joined, I intentionally got myself in the mood to gel with the entire team and it has worked in my favour. I was surprised that I was included in the first team for the first match and even went ahead to be named the man of the match in that game,” Ouma said. After bouncing back to winning ways with the triumph over Vihiga Bullets at ASK Grounds, Nakuru, Ouma believes that the team is headed for greater things into the new year.🎖️| Kevin Ouma of @UlinziStarsFC is your Man of the Match#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/WAWTBzrQpT— FKF Premier League (@Officialfkfpl) September 26, 2021 Ulinzi suffered back-to-back defeats against Wazito and KCB since returning to action after a break that lasted for more than a month but broke the streak with a 2-0 win over struggling Vihiga Bullets.”All is not lost. We lost two games since resumption but the win against Vihiga Bullets is a good morale booster for the entire team to produce better results going forward and into the new year,” he added.
