Muyoti hoping to have troops back for Gor clash after flu disruption

Nairobi City Stars head coach Nicholas Muyoti is hoping to have all his key players who missed the match against KCB back ahead of the match against Gor Mahia scheduled for 30th December.Simba wa Nairobi missed several players in the 1-0 defeat to the Bankers on Friday. Kevin Okumu, Salim Abdalla, Peter Opiyo, Nicholas Kipkirui and Kennedy Onyango all sat out of the encounter with coach Muyoti later confirming that a good number of them has been hit with the now-famous flue.Their absence was largely felt as they were the second-best team in the game before conceding a late goal that took KCB to the top of the FKF Premier League log. Up next for Simba wa Nairobi is a match against the record league champions and Muyoti hopes to have his charges back for that game.FULLTIME#𝕊𝕚𝕞𝕓𝕒𝕎𝕒ℕ𝕒𝕚𝕣𝕠𝕓𝕚 pic.twitter.com/aY3GDt3J44— Official Nairobi City Stars Fc (@NrbCityStars) December 17, 2021 “We are hoping to have them back for our next game. They are important players for us and hopefully, they will be available,” the tactician said.On Whether their absence was felt in the game, the tactician said that it slowed down their continuity. They had beaten Mathare United in their previous game with Peter Opiyo who missed the game against the Bankers scoring both goals in that game“We were definitely affected by the flu because we missed a couple of players who played against Mathare United and that affects the continuity aspect in the team. I cannot say that those who played did badly, they gave their level best under difficult circumstances,” he said.
