Are you joking? Four Four Two published their Top 50 coaches list and it’s hilarious

It’s the end of the year 2021, a perfect time of big football elections, polls, proclamations, awards ceremonies….And those elections always provoke controversy, comments, confrontations. Another choice that will leave few indifferent is one of the most prestigious football magazines in the world, “Four Four Two”. This paper made a ranking list of the 50 best coaches in the world in 2021 and compiled it as if today is April 1st, and not Christmas according to the Gregorian calendar.„Our list is determined by a few things: ability, of course, as well as how much their team has achieved in these past 12 months – with resources taken into account. Everything considered… these are the most employable men“ Four Four Two explained their choice. He didn’t unpack his suitcases yet but he is already on a mission to reform English footballBut when you actually look at the list, you fail to understand any criteria at all. Not to mention that there are 9 Premier League coaches in the first 20, and a remarkable 17 in the first 50, but when you look at the names…at number 18 is relegation struggling Leeds coach Marselo Bielsa, who is on the brink of sack, at number 19 is Ralph Ranginck, who took over Manchester United just under a month ago, and before that was out of coaching since 2018! This hilarious list continues with the likes of Graham Potter (32), Thomas Frank (40), and even Sean Dyche (48). Zinedine Zidane ended up as just 28th, while Cristoph Galiter, who beat all the odds in the world and finished as champion above PSG is in 37th place, while the guy who lost the title, Mauricio Pochettino is 10th.
