Boost for Nzoia as Juma passes fitness test ahead of KCB duel

Redemption seeking Nzoia Sugar FC have received a massive boost after Kenyan international and the club’s assistant skipper Kevin Juma passed the fitness test ahead of their Thursday match away to KCB at Utalii.Juma missed the last four games against Tusker, Kariobangi Sharks and Nairobi City Stars and Kakamega Homeboyz thanks to a sprained left knee tendon on the eve of their clash with the latter. However, the defensive midfielder revealed that he had recovered and joined the rest in training a couple of days ago and further, his name was drafted in the traveling squad for the KCB duel.Kupasha misuli moto, manake tunarejea kwa kishindo. #SweeteningKenyanFootball. @Ibrahadolwa @dickxion_genius @ElvisMukhwana pic.twitter.com/IzJkfzE2ju— NZOIASUGARFC (@nzoiasugarfc2) November 30, 2021  “Even before the Tusker game, I had began light training but I wasn’t fully fit. I am glad that I finally shook off the knock and will be in contention for playing time when we face KCB,” he said. For the time he was sidelined, Juma noted improvements in the team that had been under pressure to recover from the poor start and hopes that his presence will fire the outfit to its second win of the season.” I watched the four games from the stands and I was left impressed with the way the players expressed themselves. If we can be a little bit clinical in front of the goal then we will get out of the red zone,” he said.Meanwhile, Juma expressed confidence in the team getting maximum points when they confront KCB.@nzoiasugarfc2 Vs. @FcHomeboyz ##sweeteningkenyanfootball. @Nzoiasugar @ElvisMukhwana @dickxion_genius pic.twitter.com/IzbnPgXEaE— NZOIASUGARFC (@nzoiasugarfc2) December 4, 2021  The sugar millers will be looking to redeem themselves from a 1-0 loss suffered in the hands of Tusker in their last match when they confront the bankers who were firing from all cylinders before the competition paved way for the brief Christmas break.
