The Aaron Ringera led Football Kenya Federation Caretaker Committee has announced that it will offer financial waivers to Division One Clubs in a bid to easen the numerous challenges that plague football outfits from lower tier leagues in the country.##EDITORS_CHOICE##In a meeting held between the Leagues and Competition Committee of the FKF Caretaker Committee and the representatives of the Division One Clubs on Wednesday 29 December, it was agreed that the club affiliation amount of Sh. 44,500, match officiating charges for all matches and player registration charge of sh. 500 per player will all be waivered ahead of the new season.“The Leagues and Competition Committee of the FKF Caretake Committee met representatives of the Division I on the 29″ of December 2021 and these are the resulutions of the meeting:All division I Clubs will receive the following financial waivers:a) Club Affiliation of Kshs 44.500b) Match Officiating for all matchesc) Player Registration of Kshs. 500 per player,” a part of the statement read.In addition it was also passed that the league will commence next year in January and 2019 FKF Match Rules will be used for running the league.“Division I League shall commence on Saturday 22″, January 2022. FKF Match Rules (2019) shall be used for running of the League.”The caretaker committee also noted that the fixtures of the new season shall be ready and available to the clubs on Friday 7th January, 2022.In matters player registration, the letter signed by head of Secretariat Lindah Oguttu affirmed that a January transfer window is set to be open from 7th and will run till 5th February 2021 with the caretaker committee fully in charge with players who will be cleared by the committee being the ones to partcipate in the league.“i) Player Transfer Window shall be opened on January 9, 2022 and shall run to February 5th 2022ii) Clubs will submit their existing Player Lists to prior to the transfer Window to enable processing of Player Cardsiii) Only Players cleared by the FKF CC Committee with proper documentation shall be allowed to participate in the Leagueiv) All Players and Club Technical Team have the necessary COVID-19 Vaccination Documents,” the statement read.
